Shanna is a maker of contemporary jewellery, small objects, and installation, creating works for exhibition, retail and for private commissions. Her works investigate human fragility particularly with interest in the memory. Her works use found objects and links to the home to investigate how the objects around can provide a tangible link to the intangible past. Her pieces have an intimate nature and while connecting to the past the outcome is a piece that can be worn in the present and taken into the future alongside the creation of new memories.
Shanna studied jewellery and small objects at the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane, graduating in 2011 and she now lives and works from Biloela, Central Queensland.
